Left Crack (we called it Butterfly Jam, 5.10), was done by 1984, as was Right Crack (that one might have been 1983). In this 1985 photo, I'm doing what we called Hercules Unchained, where both cracks are climbed to a top out on the right (we may have also toped it out on the left; can't recall). REI harness, Asolo rock shoes, and homemade chalk bag.

Bernard Gillett on an early (likely first) ascent (1985?), though as shown in the photo, I used the left arete once at the top. Perhaps modern ascents avoid this. No bouldering pads back then, so we top roped it. We called this one Interstellar Overdrive, and rated it 5.11.

The snowfield at the head of Keplinger's Couloir in October. We actually turned around here, 500 vertical feet from the summit, because I was unwilling to take my 9-yr old across this dangerous passage (the hoped for sun never showed up that day to soften the snow). It's a testy passage even when bone dry. Skyscraper climbs the wall on the upper right (near the skyline), and the upper left skyline is actually the summit rim of Longs (the Homestretch is just around the corner from the top of the snowfield).
