Comments: Nice shot. This is the 5.6 Pitch three variation. The 5.3 route does a foot traverse our right to the bouldery ledge.

A great 5.6 finish is to do the variation shown in the photo and then climb directly up the last 20 foot head wall with the pin and white rock. That also goes at 5.6.

Comments: I disagree with it not taking pro very well. There's great gear the whole way. The pro may be a little strenuous to place at the bottom, but if you get your body into good position you can hang on and find bomber gear. Getting up underneath the overhang you have to make a couple moved where your feet are ~2 feet above your gear, but other than that you're never far from your last piece. Also, pulling the crux is super well protected by either smaller cams or nuts.

Awesome climbing, well protect... more >>

Comments: Sweet line! I'm nowhere near a 5.12 climber, but I've done "Captain Moonlight's Wimpy Exit" variation (I just made that name up, I'm sure someone has done what I've done before). You exit left on the 4th class slab and corner after doing the mantle move at half height. Climbing is maybe 5.8+/5.9-. Very fun moves and well protected. Place a directional for your second after mantling.

Comments: you're referring to third crack. Second crack is directly above the white helmet
