Comments: Dang....there's some serious camera tilt taking place with this photo. Can't image the angle gets much more than 75-78 degrees on P3.

Comments: My 200# Mastiff does this all the time. And he's been up and down sketchier obstacles then that ladder.

Comments: Composition??...couldn't disagree more with you, Shawn. Lines, symmetry, and depth of field...check, but the lighting isn't great and the contrast is marginal, but Davith is right it's beautiful chunk of rock and that overhang is begging to be climbed. Looks like a great spot to deep water solo. And Chris I....the votes for the great photo aren't by lecherous MP members, but as Davith indicated, the spectacular chunk of stone that supports that overhang and the climbing opportunity it showcases.... more >>

Comments: There seems to be a fair amount of complaining regarding the original post of the description of Graveyard Shift. If you feel strongly that the description is woefully inadequate step up to the plate and use the new "IMPROVE THIS PAGE" feature to add an articulate and glowing description of the climb.

Comments: Younger copperheads are NOT more venomous, but lack the experience to control the rate of invenomation. The resultant bite may contain more venom due to their failure to conserve venom for more productive situations.

Comments: Now that placement is "special." Looks like there's more shale than calcite in the seam. Looks more like vertical mud!!

Comments: Virgin, unclimbed summit OR a tombstone. Looks like junk piled upon junk, but different strokes for different folks.

Comments: Ditto regarding what Aarika said about the campground host. He woke us up at 2:30am as we had parked our RV in a NO CAMPING area, but suggested that if we couldn't find a campsite we could go back out to HWY 247 and park across the road with no problem. The next day we managed to locate a great campsite and had a wonderful conversation with Jim, the campground host/ranger. Jim is very dedicated, but doesn't appear to hassle anyone that isn't a jerk and abides by the posted rules. If you want to ... more >>

Comments: "Mother's Little Helper" climbs the left facing corner on the left side of this photo, under "Potlicker (5.6). Above the overhang it connects up with the right leaning crack, above the "A" in Alpentine.
