Comments: Wow, Tony, you sure nailed the beta on "Doggie Style." A bit stiff for the grade, steep, sharp, and thin.

Comments: Nice photo, Austin. Great looking rock. It appears there are still a few loose flakes and stones laying about on the ledges. In such a setting and in 22 pitches there will be those. Be careful out there.

Comments: Wow. Nice detailed overview of the route, Tristan. I forget the details of the FA, but I tip my hat to you regarding your vision and the perseverance required to establish this line, and to link all those pitches and features together.

Both the Tom Slater and the Falcon guides are available at REI, A-16, and Nomad Ventures.

Comments: Tristan....I wish I could say that I've never done something like that, but we all do occasionally. I hope that you get your #3 BD cam back. Dogs are fun, but like children they add another layer of organization and responsibility to an outing. Good karma points to the person that returns Tristan's cam. It's often complicated trying to reunite lost gear with its owner, especially when its not evident that the gear is lost, but as this cam was only 4 feet off the ground you should suspect t... more >>

Comments: The rock that crack is in is about fifteen feet high and the crack contains some loose blocks, but is probably 5.7 in difficulty. Careful at the top.

Comments: Yep, JT is making headway, but the crux still lies ahead of her, just above her hands. Nice highball, but that landing has really eroded over the years. Nice to have a pair of burly spotters and some pads.

Comments: Adam T....."Pick Pocket" is listed as trad. because of the bolt spacing. Ten bolts in 140 feet is not your typical sport bolted route. Check out the bolted face routes at Suicide Rock and Joshua Tree, which are "fully" bolted, but posted as trad. routes.
