Comments: Don't underestimate the "much easier" .11c thin hands to the top. I was fighting a good pump up there, and it didn't feel "easy"! Awesome, easily one of the best pitches in SO. CO.

Comments: You may want more than the listed gear if OS'ing. Great route, that is unfortunately a natural drainage for the area and seems like it'll be perpetually dirty.

Comments: a great option for this route is to veer left about 15' above the roof and face climb directly to the Physical Graffiti anchor - this eliminates the easy sandy crack and you can then lower to the ground for TR'ing. Obviously it's a tad runout, but you can get a bomber red C3 about half way up between two plates.

Comments: Great route, well worth the trip which should include the neighboring route the Steeple. This should definitely put Unaweep back on the map for interested parties. All pitches are good, and the two crux pitches are REALLY good, not to mention the sweet ledge belays. If you like techy granite, you'll love Echoes. Thanks, Rob.

Comments: I admire your hunger for chossaneering, yet I am confused by the copious use of bolts. I believe this line was first done about 20 years ago and again (all but the last few meters) last season without any bolts - probably a few times in between too. Bolts on this wall are largely unwelcome and provide little more than a false sense of security.

Comments: The Frenchies came and called it D11+ if you go beyond the original lowering bolt and up the arete.

Comments: This cave and its surrounding walls offer limitless possibilities for the motivated M (or is it D) climber. The rock gets significantly better the higher you go. Caves are the geological toilets of rock walls, which is why they are caves.

Comments: If you follow the natural line on this one, it's only about 12c. If you contrive it and go back right after going left to clip the bolts, it's about 12+. Either way it's pretty fun.

Comments: This route would benefit from moving the anchors to where it gets slabby, just before the dihedral exit. I think a 60m rope will reach the ground too?

Comments: Great adventure day. We started just around the arete from start show in photo. Dirty, but good .10 corner to .11b fists to top of pillar. Then short 5.9 pitch gets you to where description mentions old tat. Then on normal route from there. All bolts show in Black Cyn. Guide topo are there, not as crossed off on appended topo on this site. They are old, rusty, and skinny! We went to the top, if doing this. Go up and left on Mirror Ledge as described on this site, take left OW to deep chimney for... more >>

Comments: The left-angling 5.10 crack instead of the OW is really cool and deposits you on a great belay ledge. Thanks, CK, for the recommendation. I don't know about you, but I don't think the heads on P1 would hold an (insert Cartman's voice here) Ethi-nopian.

Comments: Hey Pierceadams, get your facts straight before you spray online. I have talked to Justin, and there are now twice as many routes as before and no retro-bolting has taken place. No validation here, I don't think 5.12 is that impressive in the climbing world. And, FYI - Ouray's already been blown up, bro.

Comments: Just a heads up, all draws and lowering biners were stolen over the last two days. So, instead of being able to show up and send - you'll need to bring your own snap-links. The lame asses took everything except the one sling that I wrenched the quicklink on, but they did take the clipping biner off. LAME.

Comments: I aided up, put the anchor in and then one-hung it and never went back. On a separate trip I told Pee Wee about it and he went and sent it. So, yes FA is Pee Wee and he named it Fairy Tales.
