Location: NY : Adirondacks : High Peaks : Wallface By: Andrew Mertens When: May 13, 2012 | view comment >> | Comments: As of May 12, 2012, there are Peregrine Falcons nesting on top of Pitch 6 of Free Ride, so avoid climbing in that area. I've let the Department of Wildlife know. I'm not sure if they close the cliff or just that part of the cliff.

Location: VT : Bolton Area By: Andrew Mertens When: Dec 4, 2010 | view comment >> | Comments: If no one objects, I'd like to put up a page for Wheeler Mt. I want to make sure that there isn't a strong outcry to keep the cliff a secret, though. Also, if someone knows more about the area, they should post it; I climbed The Great Dihedral on minimum beta and don't know anything else about the area. I just thought it was an amazing route and cliff and would like to pass the experience on.

Location: NY : Adirondacks : Lake Champlain Region : Poke-O-Moonshine : Poke-O-Moonshine Main Face : The Fastest Gun (5.10b) By: Andrew Mertens When: Oct 13, 2010 | view comment >> | Comments: I though the spicy bit of pitch 3 was actually getting to the bolt, not the climbing after it. I remember some tricky 5.8-5.9 moves getting to the bolt protected by a small gear, added to the fact that you are right above the belay. The climbing after the crux move is 5.6 at most, and I actually found a fair amount of gear. But awesome route. Every pitch is great but make sure you get the lead on pitch 2 and 4.
