Comments: Climbed on 1/18/2008. Ice was fine but chopped up. An opening in the ice at the bottom allowed for some mixed.

Comments: Climbed this with CMC on 12/28/2006. Just as heavy snow hits Front-Range. Conditions were very good. There's enough width for two top ropes.

On the day that we climbed, there are clear snowshoe tracks to ice. After you cross bridge, go 60 feet to East and pick up trail (or follow key snow tracks on south of creek till the first major tracks South and up).

See photos.

Comments: Chris, Jim, and I started at Baker's Way and then intersected Fandago Route. Route has excellent views of Front-Range. The Ridge Traverse was excellent fun and enjoyed excellent views from Indian Peaks aournd to downtown Denver. It was a nice change not to bushwack to route or from route.

Comments: Climbed this route with Colorado Mountain Club (Chris, Naoki, Michele, Joan and myself) in two rope teams and four pitches. It was a wonderful day, warm, no wind, and sunny skies. DIA was clearly visible.

Our line up to summit ranged was mostly 5.0 and class 4 although we did find some 5.3-5.4 crux moves on the later pitches. In many places the rock is frazzled and I had a hold break off in my hand.

The rap down requires some skill as the rock as the desired path, the fall line, and the ... more >>

Comments: This is good route for very young kids. (1) It's very close to where the trail meets the wall, so you don't have to go very far. (2) there's sufficient same open space for kids to wait around in and be out of the way. (3) You can find shade from the sun to belay and rest the kids. (4) The ramp on the East/Right of the corner to the first ledge is challenging enough for a very young climber. My 3 year old found it scary enough.

I climb this route on the West (left) of the corner. There are two... more >>
