Comments: oh man, i just discovered the hat this past october, got determined/addicted on that featureless traverse in both directions...i like your approach! note to self, must try that line next time. (topping out is all fine and dandy until you look for the down climb with no pad or any assistance because your ADD kicked in and you partner gave up on verbal communication after many failed attempts)

Comments: V5 seems a bit off, dimes for feet that are easier to recognize if you're a slab efficianato...don't avoid it due to the rating.

Comments: funny you would mention only the slopers...i would say that quantum field/castle hill is noted mostly for rounded mantle finishes to EVERYTHING. you get strong real fast and you learn how not to look like a struggling beached whale as well. you can spot the newbies right away, using everything including their faces to stay on. good times had by all.

Comments: if you're looking to improve your fancy footwork, crimp strength, and balance for your granite climbing projects...this is the place to train! There's a good amount of highball options and some anchors for top roping as well. Bees may like Lonesome and Mudball as much as a boulderer does, but they don't like people much. Summer time: watch out for the occasional rattler sunning on/near the trail, there's a grand daddy of one near carosel boulder i've seen on many occasions. they'll give y... more >>

Comments: intense high ball until you actually commit to the move and then it was straight forward and holds exactly where you need them over the lip. take a up a collection for pads if it makes you feel better, no one will deny you the added foam.

Comments: i have to agree with the terrifying first clip, but a fantastic line...beware, i don't know if it was the rock or sweat or the combination of both...the holds are slick at the top.

Comments: golden fries is closed on mondays!!! be aware of this, and that wholemeal closes real early (like 4pm!) and their food is amazing. if you want a bowl (yes, bowl) of coffee, hit up dangerous kitchen...and there's pizza. real good kind, note that pizza in new zealand doesn't start with a marinara base...that's bbq sauce. uh-huh. real good, but different. rest days are rad...but don't rest. but if you must, then try the 'art' of fishing for salmon at a salmon farm (short drive toward's tow... more >>
