Comments: The headwalls of the Captain glow gold then red and finally become awash in purple.
Inch by inch, chicken wings and contortions sample new stone lands.
The stars come out.
A handjam!
Tubing commences and with it more sweet jams.
Orbs of light are seen wandering chaotically beneath the oak, bay, and pines.
A maiden inquires, "Are you guys ok?"
Oh, we're fine, just enjoying some wide! Huff, huff, huff.
"You're on Ahab...in the dark..............That's FANTASTIC!" The maiden approves.

Comments: Quite fun for a hangdog ascent; well worth working on. Fixed draws, but several (2nd, 4th) should be lengthened. Get your core workout on!

Comments: Absolutely stellar. The exposure is 5 stars alone, and the many challenging moves are excellent to say the least. Wow. 11a is probably fair given the "10d, errr 11b circuit" Donner standard ;-)

Comments: The crux pro is bomber provided you are diligent in your rope management and prevent the feared Z clip. Great pumper of a route with a cool change of style up high.

Comments: If you are to place a directional, locate it just above the bulge (i.e., not too high) or risk rope eating fun! Sweet little crack!

Comments: The climb can be easily toproped via a directional BD .4-.5 just past the final pullover onto the slab section. The rope is easily flipped into position by walking up towards OHC and gettin your flip on. Have fun!

Comments: Very fun climb. The anchors, however, are in dreadful need of Mussy hooks or some sort of new setup (one cold shut is loose and very worn, the other is worn). Be careful!

Comments: The beautiful upper headwall and technical, body tension demanding moves make this a great climb and excellent for TR-hero skill building, both for the moves and for placing pro in precarious positions! I'll be back...

Comments: Incredibly fun route! Might have goofed up the sequence, but the mono digit finger lock dyno to the rail was awesome! Thoughtful, pumpy, techy, and powerful, this route rocks!

Comments: How I remember this climb one afternoon a few years ago: Simmering in glorious sun on perfect stone struggling up along stellar movements with blue sky and lakes glittering amongst the mellow greens of trees and shrubs...can't believe I haven't been back!!!

Comments: Very cool climb in fantastic position. Very balancy and sequency, which is likely what leads to the great rating debate. I say its an honest 11a for the onsite (which is what matters right?), since you can get a bit pumped on small crimps/sidepulls while looking for the moves and figuring out the sequence, but once you run a few laps it becomes much easier. 5.10+/5.11-? Whatever. Just remember the advice of Steve Petro (he was referring to Fiddler on the Roof .13+, but logic applies throughout c... more >>

Comments: Great rock quality...the two main problems going up the seams are awesome (V1ish). Lots of opportunities for fun in a small area here with killer view and landing. Bring a beer, watch the river, bump some beats, and send!

Comments: We installed two fine new quicklinks on the lower set of bolts yesterday (4/10); I have the old quicklink/biner if you'd like them back. Best way to setup TR is have two people go to top, one raps down to lower anchor, pulls ropes and sets up anchor, then raps to ground while other person cleans top anchor and walks back around. You may be able to just rap off Flight Deck anchors as well.

Ze Lizard of WYDE and his family are still chillin, though the slug was nowhere to be found.
