More information:
I want to get back into multi-pitch routs. This season started off that way with Rewritten, but none since. I'm comfortable leading up to some 5.8. My lead head gets sketchy on 8+ so If you're willing to help out on that, I'm up to pushing that limit. I want to lead a 5.9 before the snow flies.
I just got back from 3 days on Devil's Tower. That was an amazing learning experience. Don't let my tick list fool you. The pitches I did were all below 5.9. I didn't continue into the 5.11 or 5.10 pitches (all of which were the second pitches and exceed my abilities).

At the bottom, Rick and Ben are at the belay anchor ready to start the second pitch. Above us is the leader for a different party starting the lead for the third pitch (his second is behind the rock to his left).  Empor <br />Rick (R Klass) and I are at the second belay point. Above us you can see the leader for the party ahead starting the third pitch. Thank you Shelly for this picture.  Completely pumped out after my third lead fall on the same cam. This is when I started learning that one can't muscle their way through most of a rout.  Crack technique at Honky Jam Ass Crack, Turkey Perch.  I'm leading up the first pitch. Above me is the belayer for the party ahead of us. The belay ledge is pretty obvious once you get there, but it requires a trad anchor.
