Comments: I don't think there is a description for getting off this cliff in the guidebook. There is definitely no suggestion you rap anything. There is a description on how to approach the routes. I guess when I did the guide getting off was too obvious to me since I was familiar with working my way back along the top toward where I left my pack.

Comments: Just call it 12. It might be 12- for those of less attractive stature but for the rest of us we will have to pull harder and reach a bit farther. It was fun being there for the hooking and sending.

Comments: This climb is another diamond in the rough. Okay, perhaps another pearl in an oyster. Not very pretty as it looks grungy but once opened it is a cool climb. Deceptively hard climbing for a route that on first impression give you the idea it will be 5.7. The first pitch has really good finger locks and pro. The second pitch starts about 20 feet left on the ledge and heads up to an improbable looking tiered crack/corner. It is really fun as well with good pro. You could shift the belay or len... more >>

Comments: I have done this three times now and I know that the second pitch can have a lot of drag. Using slings and a minimum of gear I am still unable to reduce the rope drag enough to make the pitch fun to climb so I think I will add a belay and make it a three pitch route. Will post up when I do.

Anchors added so it is now a 3 pitch route.

Comments: Bolted crack in a mostly sport area! Climber does it all on gear. Looks like both styles win. I don't think every trad or r/x route should be bolted. However we sometimes bolt cracks on Lemmon as well. If it is an area where people rarely if ever have a rack with them we bolt it unless it is a really good trad route. I mean the kind of route people will carry a rack to climb even if it is the only trad climb there.

Comments: After the traverse right to the original route you must work way right to get a high piece in the corner. Three long slings will help reduce the drag and render the piece almost moot. I skipped it and found the arete pretty easy but very committing with no pro.

Comments: If you were rapping off the BS anchors you were not close to where you need to descend. Simply walk to the far end of the low angle wall then traverse under it until you can down climb to the base of the larger steeper wall. I suggest this for two reasons: it is easily done and it will minimize the possibility of negative interactions with the boy scouts if they want to use the low angle wall. Thanks for the cooperation.

Comments: Hey Mike, I am guessing you can figure out a way to back these single bolt anchors up with the use of the rope or a cordelette. You will not want or probably need to rap off them. Feel free to bring your hand drill and add one for each of the last two anchors. You will have fun I am guessing.

Comments: Thanks Robbie, you saved me the effort. ^^^^ Love people rating routes on TR not that they can't be accurate but this route gets harder if you are placing gear. Duh.

Comments: Good for you John for getting on this. I would bet that less than 20 of the thousands who have visited the New Wave Wall ever ventured near this thing. As far as the debris goes I would guess that less than five minutes would lower the start. That was all it took to clear the rocks from the start of Holey Moley about a month ago.

Comments: Descent is not exposed if you drop down to the base of the main wall instead of cutting over to the middle of the wall. Most people will miss the hard left Geir (gooole image) took and end up at the left end of the cliff. From here you just traverse the base until you get to a steep scramble down to the start of the routes.
