Descent from the summit (read descent for B-Cubed): scramble down in the gully between the domes until hit a large ledge on top of a slab. From there, three single rope raps take you to the base. Double 70mts ropes are short by only 5-7 feet to make it in one rap all the way down. Is easy to downclimb the button but be careful!!!

Comments: Fun route. I actually thought pitch 4 was the most fun and probably the crux. An airy couple moves over the bulge on good rock. Some substantial runouts on probably 5.8 terrain. The rock quality isn't as classic as Cochise, but it's a perfect outing if you're looking for something moderate but still exciting, long and adventurous. I placed 2 pieces all day- a big (yellow i think) BD C4 on pitch 3 (probably unnecessary) and a .3 camalot on the last pitch. Also slung 3 or 4 chicken heads on the la... more >>

Comments: To provide balance to Jimbo's comment, I thought this was a worthwhile route. It is not a classic, but the rock was much better than I expected (I didn't really notice any "rotten" rock), and with the added bolts and anchors, the protection is quite reasonable. It's a bit ledgey, but the actual climbing moves are really fun.

If you've done some of the other 10- and under routes in this canyon and enjoyed them, then definitely consider this route. If Elephantiasis is really that much better, ... more >>

Comments: This is a great climb... I did not feel that the rock was poor AT ALL, on the contrary, thought the rock was mostly great with a few places of loose stuff that did not spoil the overall quality. Good adventure climb, with some run outs and excellent fun movement. A most do in Mendoza.

Comments: I found the rock to be pretty good overall, meaning kinda loose, but not dangerous. Pretty fun climbing for a not hard/not easy adventure route.

Comments: I've done this route twice. I thought the rock was pretty good overall. (Way better than B-Cubed)

This route is a good test to see if you want to do Crater Genetics.

Crater is harder more run out, but the rock is a bit better. IMO

We did replace some of the badly drilled bolts several years ago, and did a variation to the refrigerator death block chimney pitch.

The variation busts left under the chimney past a couple of bolts with 5.10 face climbing on solid rock. You end up at the sam... more >>

Comments: There was a lot of loose stuff, but we didn't break any of it off so I didn't think to give it a bomb. There is also quite a bit of good rock scattered throughout the route- maybe 50% is pretty good. I rated it based on the whole experience, not just rock quality.

Comments: It has been closed March 1 thru Sept. 1 for many years now. As far as I know that's still the case.
