Looking back on Casaval Ridge from the summit. The route takes you to about the center right of the ridgeline seen here. Whitney Glacier on the right.

The last part of the ridge. Follow this part of the ridgeline on the right to the base of Misery Hill. Be careful not to heard onto the Whitney Glacier on the other side of the crest.

A party belaying the catwalk. Pretty decent exposure on the left towards Avalanche Gluch. This would be a bad place to slip.

Comments: Pretty accurate description, however I would add that 8 Mile Boulders is a Mecca of bouldering awaiting the right motivated crew to give it the Love and attention it deserves. Sean Moore originally developed the area in the 90's and saw the area's potential, however like many of the Shasta area Crags due to lack of local rock climbers, much of Sean's work was in vain and now the area is need of love once again.
