Photo taken during the Thanksgiving2008 weather that brought winter to Denver, gave Phoenix their biggest rain in twenty years, and Loveland Ski Area 35" of snow, it was wonderful at The Tunnel. <br /><br />Climbing near Titan-like mud curtains doesn't hurt me like dolomite spines do. Nice handholds and lots of sun here. I think this is the best winter climbing area around. (Tilted photo, but I measured Jump Start as a 17 meter pitch with almost 3 meters of overhang)<br /><br />

This Chuckwalla just wouldn't leave the first hold on Heatstroke @ Sunny Side. I liked the way this warm, smooth, stone felt on my hands too and didn't want to leave. We dogged on a harder route, instead of snaking Chuck's more doable line.
