Sehome Arboretum
Submitted by: michael faith
Description
It's the Sehome Arboretum. It sees a fair amount of traffic from WWU students to and from campus as well from runners and hikers. Additional information can be found on the city's website.
Getting There
The entrance to Sehome Hill Arboretum is located on Bill McDonald Parkway at 25th Street near the South end of Western Washington University's campus in the Sehome Neighborhood.

Park in the lower area and walk along the road until you see the tree branch arch which signals a left along the trail and through a fence towards the cliffs.

That tunnel up there in forest, moments away from WWU, offered up some pretty good bouldering back in the day...plus it's dry.

It's super polished these days but if it's been raining and you can't afford the gym it's your only option (at least that I know of). Bring a towel because streams form at the base of both sides and you'll probably need to wipe mud off your shoes after coming down between traverses.
