Philadelphia

Description
Climbing in Philadelphia - the City of Brotherly Love, and of Jackass - and its suburbs. Most things that get climbed in the city are boulders, with a few scattered places to climb sport or toprope.
Areas include Pennypack Park, the Schuylkill River Trail, Swedish Cabin, Wissahickon Valley Park, and the odd bolted bridge or dam.
Climbers from Philly can find a few worthwhile crags within an hour's drive. For trad and toprope, High Rocks at Ralph Stover State Park offers the most choices. Many sport routes can be had at Birdsboro Quarry. Hundreds of boulder problems on quality quartzite can be found at Haycock Mountain.
